The Land of Giants
American firm choi + shine architects recently received the 2010 boston society of architects award for unbuilt architecture for their project 'the land of giants', which they originally designed for the icelandic high voltage electrical pylon competition back in 2008.
Don't you think they would look fantastic in the real world?

Thomas Goisque
November was a month dedicated to photography in Paris and there were a lot of vernissages and exhibitions going on around the city. I want to share the works I've seen and liked, either spoted around Paris, or found on the web.
I'll start with Thomas Goisque who is a photojournalist and does photo reportages from all around the world, but mostly Asia and Africa.
He received his education in photography in Paris in 'l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs' way after his passion led him to the end of the world. He worked as a photographer of the army and volontarily enlisted in several military missions (see his excellent military reportage from Bosnia here). In 2003 he joined Sylvain Tesson in his long march from the Arctic Circle to the jungles of Bengal and together with his new companion published a book calles: "Under the stars of freedom". He regularly publishes his works in Le Faigaro and had his entries in Le Monde, National Geographic, Paris Match, Géo, Grands Reportages and many others.
I strongly recommand to visit his website and go through all his amazing journeys.
For copyright reasons I of course cannot post the original photos, so these poor screen shots do not reflect much of the stories that he tells through his photography. But I promise you that it is worth a while to have a look on his work, especially if you share his passion for travelling.

Fortune telling
Did you guys do any fortune telling this year?
I was invited by a polish friend, Paulina, who lives and works in Paris for almost a year now. A cuople of friends from here work came over, we had some pierogi made by Paulina's mum (yammi, tasted like Christmas already), żubrówka + apple juice and a very warming up drink - krupnik served with clove and hot water, an idea that I will definitely borrow for my family Christmas days.
Thanks for inviting me Paulina!! It was fun and first time since arriving I had vodka on Monday!
